LLP Registration in Hyderabad: Process, Timeline and Documents Needed

How to register an LLP in Hyderabad: FiLLiP process, indicative timeline, documents, annual compliance and how ComplianceKart can help.

Two partners running a consulting practice from Gachibowli want limited liability without the heavier formalities of a company. An LLP is a common answer. This guide explains how an LLP is registered in Hyderabad, what it takes, and what compliance follows.

Short answer: a Limited Liability Partnership is incorporated under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008 by filing the FiLLiP form with the MCA. It needs at least two partners and two designated partners, one of whom must be resident in India, and an LLP agreement must be filed within 30 days of incorporation.

What the law requires

  • At least two partners, individuals or bodies corporate (section 6 of the LLP Act, 2008).
  • At least two designated partners who are individuals, with at least one resident in India (section 7). Resident means a stay of at least 182 days in the preceding year.
  • A registered office in India and a name approved by the MCA.
  • Designated Partner Identification Numbers (DPIN or DIN) and Digital Signature Certificates.

Step-by-step LLP registration process

  1. Get DSCs for the proposed designated partners.
  2. Select the name using the MCA’s name facility within the incorporation form, or reserve it through RUN-LLP. The name must end with “LLP”.
  3. File FiLLiP (Form for incorporation of Limited Liability Partnership) with partner details, registered office proof and capital contribution.
  4. Receive the Certificate of Incorporation with the LLP Identification Number (LLPIN).
  5. Apply for PAN and TAN as applicable, which can be integrated with the process.
  6. File Form 3 with the LLP agreement within 30 days of incorporation (section 23, rule 17).

The MCA filing fee depends on the contribution amount and stamp duty on the LLP agreement depends on the State. Both change, so confirm the current schedule before filing.

Indicative timeline

With complete documents, an LLP is often incorporated within about 7 to 15 working days. Name approval and any MCA query are the main variables. This range is indicative and not a guarantee.

Documents needed

For Documents
Each partner PAN, Aadhaar or other ID, photograph, and address proof such as a recent bank statement or utility bill
Registered office Latest utility bill, owner’s NOC, and rent agreement if rented
Foreign partner Passport and address proof with notarisation or apostille as applicable
LLP details Proposed names, business activity, capital contribution and profit-sharing ratio

LLP vs Private Limited Company

Point LLP Private Limited
Governing law LLP Act, 2008 Companies Act, 2013
Equity funding No shares Suited to investors
Compliance Lighter, but Form 11 and Form 8 are mandatory More extensive

Our Private Limited vs LLP guide explains the comparison in detail. If investor funding is likely, a Private Limited Company is often considered.

Annual compliance

  • Form 11, the annual return, within 60 days of the close of the financial year.
  • Form 8, the statement of account and solvency, within 30 days from the end of six months of the financial year.
  • Audit where contribution exceeds Rs 25 lakh or turnover exceeds Rs 40 lakh (confirm current thresholds).
  • Income tax return and GST filings where applicable.
  • Filing Form 3 and Form 4 for changes in the agreement or partners.

LLP registration for Gachibowli and Hitech City professionals

Consultancies, agencies, architects and trading partnerships around Gachibowli, Kondapur and Hitech City often prefer an LLP because it needs no AGM and has flexible internal rules. The process is online, so the physical location of your office does not change the steps.

Why work with ComplianceKart

ComplianceKart is a boutique practice bringing Chartered Accountants, Company Secretaries and advocates under one roof. Think of a multi-speciality hospital: you walk in with one concern, and the physician, the radiologist and the surgeon coordinate on your case instead of you running between three clinics. LLP registration works the same way, because it touches company law, tax, banking and contracts at once, and a single coordinated team keeps those pieces consistent.

We do not guarantee approvals or timelines, since those depend on the regulator and on your documents. What we can do is prepare the filings carefully, tell you what is likely to be queried and keep you informed at each step.
